Lonestar Smoke House

Being from Texas myself I'm always on the look-out for great BBQ in Japan . Happy to say I have definitely found my new favorite BBQ spot . Right next to Yokohama Stadium Lone Star Smoke House is a fantastic spot to eat before or after the game or anytime you're feeling it. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful and the owner and grill master was awesome and was happy to answer any questions we had . Everything tasted great and you can tell he puts his heart and soul into the food . I highly recommend this spot for fantastic BBQ that feels like it's from Texas itself .

As an avid bbq smoker myself and being in Japan the last 4 weeks, I was missing the smell of wood burning on an offset. It’s our last night in Japan before heading back to the States and my buddy found this little bbq joint in Yokohama. First thing I noticed when I walked in was the 500 gallon Primitive Pits offset! The pit master took the time away from work to talk bbq with me and gave me some pointers on his delicious chicken! Unfortunately he only makes beef ribs on weekends but since we were going home the next day he made an exception and got some beef ribs for us! Portions were great and food was delicious. I’m going to stop by here again when I come back to Japan!

This place is one of the best in all of Japan.. not just Yokohama. The service was great and the atmosphere was really good. The food was amazing. Everything was flavorful and hot. Even the bread was good. I heard the wings were even better so next time I’ll have to try those

It’s decent! Had the lunch set. Would come again. The other reviewers are right. The brisket is a little dry and under seasoned. You will likely be eating some paper with it. But they now make sure it’s warmed properly. The pulled pork has a great flavor and the ribs are tasty too.

Definitely the best American barbecue I’ve had outside America. I booked the massive beef ribs 2 days in advance for the weekend. They only make 6 of these per weekend and only on weekends. We also ordered the brisket, sausage, cornbread and coleslaw. Everything was exceptional. The beef ribs were fall apart tender as was the brisket. The cornbread was fluffy, sweet, and served as the perfect accompaniment to the meats. I do have a few critiques: 1. the price is a little higher than I think it should be but not by much 2. the cornbread for the price should be much larger and differs from the photo on the menu. For 500 yen I expect a bigger piece of cornbread 3. a more diverse selection of sauces would be nice as they only provide 1 sauce and 1 vinegar (granted these were both great) Overall I still give this place a 5/5 (I would give it a 4.5 if I could for the price and cornbread issue mainly). Worth a visit if you want fantastic American barbecue!

Good American BBQ. They had really good melt in your mouth briskets. The beef ribs were alright. The pork ribs were better. We got the combo plate so we can try all their offerings. Too bad they didn't have any more pulled pork that night. The chicken was actually a surprise. It was tender and juicy. This is a great option for those who can't get to the USA. A plus is that it is not as salty or feel as greasy as other American BBQ

Very good American Barbecue in Japan. Was genuinely surprised at how delicious it was. Had Brisket and Mac and Cheese. Brisket was tender and juicy and Mac and Cheese was creamy and rich. Atmosphere was also very American-themed, if you’re into that. I liked it a lot.
